Sempra U.S. Gas & Power’s Bay Gas Storage facility–comprised of four high-deliverability underground natural storage caverns–provides safe and reliable storage solutions in southwest Alabama. Located about 40 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, the facility is the easternmost salt dome storage facility in the Gulf Coast region, increasing the availability of natural gas to downstream Florida markets.

Sempra U.S. Gas & Power’s Mississippi Hub is a high-deliverability underground storage facility located at the Bond Salt Dome in Simpson County, Mississippi. The facility offers close proximity to major interstate pipelines and pipeline expansion projects that access major downstream natural gas markets. It also provides access to emerging shale gas production in east Texas and Louisiana, liquefied natural gas imports, as well as traditional gas supplies in the Gulf of Mexico and along the Gulf Coast.

LA Storage Development

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved construction of four natural gas caverns in Cameron Parish near Hackberry, Lousiana. When completed, this project will provide approximately 24 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity and interconnect with the mainline of Cameron Interstate Pipeline via a 5.1 mile, 36-inch-diameter bi-directional pipeline.

Rockies Express Pipeline

Rockies Express Pipeline is one of the largest natural gas pipelines ever constructed in North America. Completed in 2009, the pipeline system spans nearly 1,700 miles–stretching from northwestern Colorado to eastern Ohio.
Jointly-owned by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P., Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and ConocoPhillips, the Rockies Express Pipeline provides linkage across multiple basins and allows natural gas producers in the Rocky Mountain region to deliver natural gas to markets in the Midwest and eastern parts of the country.
Cameron Interstate Pipeline

Sempra U.S. Gas & Power’s Cameron Interstate Pipeline is a 36-mile natural gas pipeline in south Louisiana. The pipeline links the Cameron LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana to five interstate pipelines that transport natural gas to major markets. The 42-inch diameter pipeline is certificated for a capacity of 2.35 billion cubic feet per day (Bcfd) of natural gas.

LA Storage is a 23.3-mile natural gas pipeline header system located in Calcasieu and Beauregard Parishes near the city of Sulphur, Louisiana that has interconnections with five major pipelines throughout the Gulf Region.
Southern Gas Transmission
- Location: Claiborne, Alabama
- Capacity: 50-mile pipeline
- Commercial Operation: 1992
Southern Gas Transmission (SGT) is involved in the intrastate transportation of natural gas in Alabama. In 1992, SGT constructed and began operating a 50-mile pipeline from Gulf South pipeline to the facilities of Alabama River Cellulose Company in Claiborne, Alabama.

Cameron Pipeline Expansion

Sempra U.S. Gas & Power is developing a 21-mile expansion of its Cameron Interstate Pipeline located in Beauregard, Calcasieu, and Cameron Parishes in Louisiana. The expansion project is being developed for the purpose of transporting domestic natural gas to the proposed liquefaction project at the Cameron LNG Terminal in Hackberry, Louisiana.
