Jointly owned with Salt River Project, the $500 million Mesquite Power Generating Station features the latest emissions-control technology. It operates 45 percent more efficiently than a standard natural gas-fueled power plant, earning its reputation as one of the nation's cleanest and most efficient natural gas-fired stations.

Mesquite Power is also the first power plant in Arizona to receive a Voluntary Protection Programs award–the highest recognition for exemplary safety performance.
